The Relationship Between Spirituality and Faith
/When I started talking about this site, and purpose...."to learn about how other people find their center in a world of chaos".... I had a friend ask about Spirituality and was I equating Spirituality with Faith.
Walking through the Montmartre arrondissement in paris from the Sacre-Coeur to the Moulin rouge we came around a corner to see the man escaping from the wall. At times we all feel like we are trying to break free.
I do not want to lock Spirituality into a box, and place it on a shelf, where we can conveniently forget about it. To me Spirituality is somewhere outside of Faith. I usually associate Faith with a religious connotation, be it Christianity, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Taoism, Sikism, Shinto...the list goes on.
I feel a nonbeliever can be Spiritual. I see Spirituality as being on another scale. The ability to be centered and watch events happening around us, yet still have the peace of mind that we will work through it all, plus the ability to roll up our selves and work with others toward a win-win situation.
If the Spirituality we have is centered in Faith, that is a good thing, but I do not see religious faith as a necessity.
